I am considering starting a Rapid Refill Ink Franchise. I am interested in hearing anyone's pros and cons.

I would love to hear from current owners, business customers, as well as individual customers.I am considering starting a Rapid Refill Ink Franchise. I am interested in hearing anyone's pros and cons.
I have to admit to being wary of ink refills as I have had problems with many of them.

As for a franchise, well the big plus is the business plan is done for you, so you have a chance at being successful but remember the person who makes the most in any franchise is the franchise seller, they have no risk and will demand a % of your income.

Personally I have never considered franchises and prefer network marketing where you have the same opportunity with a business plan but less demands, if you choose the right company.I am considering starting a Rapid Refill Ink Franchise. I am interested in hearing anyone's pros and cons.
before u 'buy' a franchise - work in one for 6 - 12months, work ure way up in biz.

or u may be trading a job for a job with long term liablities.

never ever put ur house as collateral.

do ur homework or u will regret for years.

down side is LLLOOONNNGGG term contracts.

can tell u how many 'curves' fanchisors are in a pickle now.
If you buy into an existing franchise, the pro's are you have a ready made business - with all the materials and tools needed.

The downside is that everything you use must come from the parent company, and usually costs 2-3X what you know it costs. That would be the bulk ink , order forms, invoices, bags etc. Most people don't realise this.

Any mistakes are yours to deal with. Waste is also your problem.

If you want to start a business, by all means work in one to learn the ropes and pitfalls, Then buy the eqipment yourself, and go from there. Once you have a profitable business, you can then clone it and sell franchises yourself - just as if you were setting up a new shop yourself. By being a franchise though, you do not have the hassle of shop rent, employees or financial insecurity - you just dispatch the materials, and collect the money. If it goes bust - you get all your equipment back for next time.
i'm a customer....my main concern on all refills, is leaking into the expensive equipment i can't afford to replace. i always buy new from the manufacturer for this fear. how will you be able to stop leaking inks ?
