  • What is a good, very low cost printer, needed mostly for black and white printing with cheap ink refills?

I mainly need the printer for printing shipping labels and ect. What is a good, low price printer? All in one would be great too. Or what store is the best for purchasing a printer? I need something where the ink isnt super expensive also. I have the kodak easyshare 5500 right now but this printer is no good at all for me. Thanks in advance. What is a good, very low cost printer, needed mostly for black and white printing with cheap ink refills?
This printer will be by far the best choice for you.

The reason is that it is laser so you do not need to refill as much

and is much more reliable. Also the refilled cartridges are very cheap

and very reliable. It is suggested as one of the smartest

choices for your case by Inkfilling which is a major refill

    online retailer

    http://www.inkfilling.com/printer-printe鈥?/a>

You can also try ebay for this printer but I certainly do not

suggest a brand new model bought from Officedepot or

other electronics retailer because those new models

are going to be too expensive to maintain and can only

    use overpriced original cartridges.

So my suggestion: Samsung ML 2510

(or see list of cheap refillable printers to choose for yourself at

    http://www.inkfilling.com/cat-printers.h鈥?/a>

    - they do have all-in-one there too)What is a good, very low cost printer, needed mostly for black and white printing with cheap ink refills?
It's usually better to refill cartridges rather than replace them. OfficeMax I believe will fill cartridges for like $5 (maybe it's Staples or Office Depot?)

But also, what kind of volume printing you're doing matters. Getting a cheap printer if you're doing 100 pages a day usually ends up being more expensive in the long run, because it's not designed for that volume, nor is it as fast (wasting time).

Personally, however, when selecting a printer, I find the cheapest cartridge and then find a printer to match it! I use the HP1510 All-in-one, which use $15 cartridges, but it also prints in color, scans, and copies.
Desi, you've got some really good answers here and I wish you luck trying to choose the right printer for your need.

DAVID has given us a steady stream of personal experience with printers and a good source for buying inexpensive cartridges

However he is wrong about re-filling. I have been refilling the same cartridges for about three years. I keep two sets, one filled and one empty and ready to be re-filled.

I buy my ink in 1/2 pint bottles for about $17 which makes the cost of a refill about 50 cents for my Canon pixma IP6000.

What David does NOT say is that you have to learn how to fill your own cartridges. It requires covering the sponge entry with scotch tape BEFORE filling and, of course it requires a glue gun to seal the filling hole. IF a person does not have these things then it will be, as David says, DISASTER.

But I'll bet there are lots of do-it-yourself folks out there who would benefit from learning how to refill.

The second and last secret is to KNOW HOW to clean the print head.

It requires just rubbing alcohol and twin tips and it has to be done every few months. Once you learn it keep the print head like new.

I write Book Digests of about 20-30 pages, large print for folks who have vision problems. I like to give these best seller condensed books to people who can't read the regular type.

It would cost me $2.00 each to have these books printed but I can print them for about a quarter and that lets me give away 100 or so without feeling the financial pinch.
Never refill inkjet cartridges. It's the best way to kill your printer. It may work 9 out of 10 times but the 10th time will make you regret doing it. Every day there are several messages here from people who learned the hard way. Always use new - not refilled or remanufactured - cartridges.

If all you need is black print, I bought two Brother HL2040 laser printers 3 years ago for $50 each. I found toner refills on ebay for $6. You need a $3 part called a reset gear to make the refills work (also available on ebay). In thousands of pages all I ever had to replace was the toner.

If you're looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series.

The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one.

Epson has also made things easier for their customers by standardizing their cartridges. Most of their printers use one of two types. The three-color plus black use T069 (CX5000 CX6000 CX7000 CX7400 CX7450 CX8400 CX9400FAX CX9475Fax NX100 NX105 NX400 Workforce 30/40/500/600 and C120) and the 5-color plus black use T078 (R260 R280 R380 RX580 RX595 and RX680). This means finding cartridges is easy.

I get cartridges for my Epsons from http://ccs-digital.com for under $3 each which hold 50% more ink than standard cartridges.

i have HP 94 black and HP 95 Color, can i go to walgreens and refill them? or do i have to buy new ones?Refill ink, help please.?
Walgreens claims that they can refill them. However, from my customers, they have not had the best success with them.

And I have been unable to find out exactly what Walgreens warranty is.

I would look for a local company that deals with printer cartridges, or a web based store that also has a store front.Refill ink, help please.?

Unfortunately, most cartridges can not be refilled because of a microchip on the cartridge itself.

You are better off just purchasing generic cartridges rather than refilling them.

You do not need to purchase the higher priced brand cartridges. We purchase the off brand Epson cartridges for our printer. I get them for about $7 or $10, plus I do not have worry about the hassle of refilling them.

Despite what some people say.. it does NOT void your warranty to use off brand cartridges. I found an article about this online if you want to read more about this, go to cheapinkcartridges.com and click on the FAQ link.

There are hundreds of sites online to purchase these cartridges.
No i have tried that and dont work. You need the special refill inks you can find in the market
i expect it's the wrong viscosity and maybe oil based........ i wouldn't try it !!
Simply refilling a cartridge yourself will void all warranties on the cartridge. Using a non-manufacturer's cartridge will void the printer warranty in most cases.

Using the wrong ink can cause all sorts of trouble. The ink might run right through the cartridge and spill inside the printer.

My brother had a $450 printer that wouldn't recognize that there was paper in it because the sensor was covered in spilled ink.

Can you really afford to take the chance that this is a good idea?

Why not use food coloring or colored water it it looks like printer ink?

    It's your $$...
that will certainly ***** it up.
Only if you want to buy a new printer.
I don't think so! I think that the writing ink does something else. You should look it up on google or something like that!

  • Which is it better to do. refill ink or buy new ones.?

do refills print as well as new.Which is it better to do. refill ink or buy new ones.?
I do not refill ink cartridges. I use a continuous ink supply system - less mess and I can visually monitor the contents of the ink reservoirs.

I am using EPSON printers. I think the print quality is the same. Note that I clean my print heads at least once a week.

Have a nice day !Which is it better to do. refill ink or buy new ones.?
I think the answer to this question depends on who is asking it; if money is no object, buy new.

If money is an object, REFILL.

It seems to be true that an OEM [Original Equipment Manuf.] Inkjet Cartridge lasts a bit longer than a refill, but not by much.

An Inkjet Cartridge can usually be refilled 5-6 times; varies.

If you [or the refiller] use the correct inks for your printer, a refill usually matches an OEM.

I have seen HP ';Black'; Inkjet's in excess of $40.00 new, %26amp; Tri-Color's in excess of $67.00 new [HP website %26amp; Wal Mart are almost the same on prices - there are actually cases where HP is cheaper].

As you probably know, Walgreen's refill Inkjet Cartridges for $10.00 Black; $15.00 Tri-Color, %26amp; they generally do a good job. There are others who also do a good job, including Cartridge World %26amp; Rapid Refill, but they can not compete with Walgreen's prices.

If you consider refilling your own Inkjet Cartridges, there are many websites that will help you get started - I will list three of them in sources box - you can also search for ';Inkjet Cartridge Refilling';.

I have been refilling my own HP cartridges for ~ 4 months now; I've made some Rookie-Mistakes, %26amp; once - quite a mess; However,

It cost me ~ $1.00 to refill my HP-21 Black [05 ml ink]; HP %26amp; Wal Mart charge ~ $17.00.

It cost me ~ $1.00 to refill my HP-22 Tri-Color [05 ml ink]: HP %26amp; Wal Mart charge ~ $22.00.

It cost me ~ $1.75 to refill my HP-15 Black [25 ml ink]; HP %26amp; Wal Mart charge ~ $30.00.

It cost me ~ $1.75 to refill my HP-78 Tri-Color [19 ml ink]: HP %26amp; Wal Mart charge ~ $35.00.

HP %26amp; Wal Mart charge ~ $ 65.00 [EACH] for a HP-12 [55 ml ink]: Yellow, Magnetta, OR Cyan; it would cost ~ $3.00 each to refill these cartridges.

This is getting long - it just gets me - charging 1,000% - 1,500% [AND MORE] of actual ink price - quite a profit margin, huh.

If you refill, use the correct ink for your printer, %26amp; do not overfill cartridges - fill to ~ 80% - no more - especially true with Tri-Color; Overfilling will result in ';Cross-Contamination'; - colors will not print correctly.

    Good Luck,

    Ken C.

    ';Little Covered Wagon Cartridge X-change';
The only bad thing about refilling ink cartridges is that is messy and sometimes difficult to do, depending on what brand printer you have. The print quality is the same, since it's using the same cartridge, but the heads on the cartridge get worn out over time as well, reducing the print quality due to worn out parts. Just buy a new cartridge every few times to replace your worn out cartridge and refill it the rest.
    Buy new.

You should never refill cartridges and specifically Epson. It's a good way to kill your printer. Read http://www.ccs-digital.com/refills.asp for details. What you should get is a unique 2-piece cartridge where the ink is in a separate tank inside the main cartridge. When the ink is empty, you pop out the tank and pop in a new one. No syringes, no mess, you never touch the ink. The chip automatically resets to full. These cartridges hold almost triple the ink of genuine Epson and cost under $3. You can also get 11 free every month with no club to join and no rebate. I've done it 4 times already. Read http://www.ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp for details.

Refill ink on canon MP530 printer?

Printer ink re filler are getting very expensive.I use the cheaper one that you can refill yourself. Go to wal_mart and get it.Refill ink on canon MP530 printer?
I would suggest getting a continuous ink system instead new or refill individual cartridges...it is equal to 61 cartridges of each color so the need to refill it is alot less often. They cost about $50 for the complete system including the ink.

They are easy to install and not messy at all...it took me about 5 minutes to get mine completely installed and when I need to refill it the tanks are outside of my printer so there is no need to remove the cartridges.

The cartridges are also set with non-expiring chips so there is no need to reset the printer. I am very please with the quality of the ink also. It has saved me a fortune. Ben Lee , filling your own cartridges is great if you have the patience and the skill to learn how to do it.

The secret is first to put on free plastic gloves, the kind that come in every box of hair coloring. NOW you will never get your hands stained.

Next you must practice so that when you fill the cartridge you seal it with scotch tape so as to allow the ink to penetrate the sponge, preferably overnight.

When the sponge is saturated, THEN you take off the tape and make sure the cartridge is nice and clean BEFORE you put it in your printer.

SADLY, too many faults did NOT do this and let the ink drip down into the printer.

This would never happen if you first make sure the filled cartridge is NOT dripping and is clean.

I fill HUNDREDS of cartridges and print hand-outs and my hands are never stained, nor does the ink drip. I fill my cartridges for about 50 cents per time.

I do this because I do not charge our computer class folks for the handouts and don't mind paying the bill but try not to waste money either.

However, if you wish, generic refilled cartridges are about $5.00 so maybe that is a best buy for you and Too many faults.

Much good luck. You asked an interesting question because it is a fact that SOME people cannot even put a new battery in their watch while others (like me) do it in 5 minutes.

I have friends who pay big bucks to have some one put on new wiper blades on their car. If you know how you can do it yourself and save $20 every time. Same with ink-jet printers..

I have a Canon MP780 printer and I use BCI-3 black. The whole ink was used so I bought ink to refill. When I inject 4ml or more the ink tank leaks. Does anybody know how to refill ink tanks without problems?Refill Ink Tanks?
I don't recommend refilling cartridges or buying remanufactured cartridges. Studies show that they are 33x more likely to fail than original manufactured ink cartrdges. Also, many times they can end up ruining your printer.Refill Ink Tanks?
Your cartridge sealing is bad. It's not secured enough. Use electric tape to seal filling hole. You can get one in any hardware store.

You can check refill instructions at http://fillserv.com/support/refillinstru鈥?/a>
Ink Refill Kits Are Good Alternative To Buying New Catridges, but often are really messy, I too often purchase these kits, therefore, i advise you to take to precautions while refilling, 1) never refill the catridges with haste while using the syringe, otherwise it just squirts out from the other side even upon filling the catridges with just 4ml. 2)always Tilt the needle Little towards the left or right and fill.
Leaks from where? the ink tank has a hole on top were you inject the ink to.
I recommend that you not use ink refills. The syringe might have excess ink remaining. No wonder refills are cheaper. Get new tanks.
cover the ink port (the hole on the bottom) with electrical tape. Removed the tape only after you have sealed the hole you made in the cartridge in order to fill it.
Never had success with re-fill kits, I always purchase new cartridges.
    Poor idea....

It has a hole in the top.... that is for air ....

Just keep your tank upside down .. Insert drop by drop ink from the spnge type outlet where ink comes wile printing...!!! use your mind sir... It works fine... I refilled 100's of ink tanks like that...

Make sure not to insert any pin ... also not to damage the sponge type outlet...

    Good luck

    Printer cartridge ink refill problem?

I have an HP C4188 all-in-one printer which I bought early this year. I got the black cartridge refilled by a professional computer shop %26amp; after getting it refilled, they said there wudn't be a problem with it cos the nozzles were working %26amp; ink was flowing down normally. However, when I got home, I put the cartridge in the printer %26amp;, after it went about its normal alignment process, the result came out as ';failed'; %26amp; the test page showed only colors %26amp; no black text (black cartridge didnt print). So I took out the cartridge, examined the nozzle area %26amp; since it had dried out slightly, I cleaned it, after which the ink again resumed flowing. Then I put the cartridge back in. But this time I got the error message ';Remove %26amp; check the right catridge'; (the same black one I had just put in). I removed %26amp; rechecked it but found everything to be normal, but I cleaned the nozzles %26amp; copper connections just to be sure. However, the same message is coming repeatedly. What is the problem n what to do?Printer cartridge ink refill problem?
Firstly, you should never let an empty cartridge sit around for any period of time before refilling it. An empty cartridge will dry out completely and often, won't work after being refilled.

Secondly, you should always wait a minimum of 8 hours before installing and using a refilled cartridge. This allows the ink to saturate the sponge inside the cartridge and to equalize air pressure which will allow the ink to flow evenly.

Some refillers often use whatever ink they have on hand that's ';close enough'; to manufacturer's specs. If the cartridge works, great, if not, too bad. It's a great set up for the refillers, since they're refilling your cartridge and ';can't be held responsible'; if it doesn't work.

Factory remanufactured cartridges for your printer will still save you tons of cash and they're always filled with quality ink that meets or exceeds manufactuer's specifications. Unfortunately, they're not always easy to find for new printers.

These cartridges are cleaned and tested before and after refilling. Knowing that everything that can be done to ensure they'll perform as good as new OEM cartridges, these retailers stand behind their products, with fast service and a great warranty.

Where do i find out how to refill an ink jet printer cartridge for a epson cartridge 68or69(to69120)?

I had the same problem. I went to STAPLES where they sell

';Rfill kits'; and chose the one that contained a pamphlet explaining how to refill Epsom or HP or Canon.

Make sure the kits does have the instructions. The salesman will help you. The kit will contain not just ink but usually a tool for opening the cartridge but a syringe for filling it.

Hereis one free tip. After you open the carrtidge (don't worry if its a biyt messy the first time) and you fill it, have a glue gun plugged in near you and just put a little hot glue around the sealing edges. That will prrvent any leakage and the glue is really easy to remove when it is cold or for next time.

After you refill a few times, you might wish to buy 250ml bottles of ink at about $14.00 from most online places. I refill mine over and over at about $1 per time so it well worth it.

If you have any problems let me know and I will give you websites to buy your stuff.

Goa refill ink. how do u use em on cannoni p1300 cartrigdes?

It looks like your ink is running low and you want to use a refill that isn't manufactured by Canon. I suggest you speak with the person selling the refill ink to see how that can be used with your printer. Good luck to you.

Hey experts. I have an epson CX3700,is it possible for 1 to Refill Ink 4 this model &what R Its problems??

I need to know more about the epson CX3700,the disadvantages of having the espon and if its more expensive to maintain compare to canon and Hp Printers.I will be grateful for the advice and help accorded to this..Thanks and continue with the answers coming..ChioaHey experts. I have an epson CX3700,is it possible for 1 to Refill Ink 4 this model %26amp;what R Its problems??
This is just my personal opinion and may not be worth anything. I have used all three and have had much better results with HP Printers. I have a Canon printer/scanner/copier unit now that I only use the copier on as I like the HP Printer better. As for the ink refills, I don't like them. I once saw a business spend all day and much money having their printers taken apart and repaired because they saved a few dollars on refilled ink catridges. They tend to leak at times and in some cases will void your warrenty if you have one.

RonHey experts. I have an epson CX3700,is it possible for 1 to Refill Ink 4 this model %26amp;what R Its problems??
I'm sure it is, however for a couple of years now I've been buying my ink from: http://www.cellphoneshop.net/

Their prices are so good that I've stopped refilling my own. They even sell the refilling kits if you want to try it. Delivery to Canada has been no longer than 4 to 6 days. I've also purchased many other things there and been very happy with the products and service so far. When checking the availability of cartridges for your computer don't look for the printers model number but the ink cartridges' number.

Where can I refill my Canon ink cartridge?

    model mp160 or mp150

I don't want a take home kit.Where can I refill my Canon ink cartridge?
pretty much any office store, like Office Depot, OfficeMax, Best Buy (Geek Squad), and Circuit City will do stuff like that. You could also take it to a special Canon shop, or to a computer specialty shopWhere can I refill my Canon ink cartridge?
Nowhere. Do it yourself. Canon ink cart is just a plastic shell with a piece of foam inside to soak up the ink. No, I'm not kidding. Canon and Sharp are the easiest to refill.
Depending on location cartridge world or the ink shop would be best or you can try compatible inks as well I have never had problems, try to avoid black refills as I have had lots of blockages caused from refills
bestbuy or officedepot might do it for you.

Refill ink in my Epson Stylus CX500.?

Is there anywhere that I can bring my empty ink cartridges in order to get them refilled. It is way too expensive to buy new ones, so I thought there has to be a cheaper way. Do you know of any places that refill empty ink cartridges?Refill ink in my Epson Stylus CX500.?
DON'T do it! Refills are dangerous and can damage your printer. There are several questions posted here every day about people who used refills and now their printers don't work. For more info read http://ccs-digital.com/refills.asp

Your printer uses the same cartridges are my CX8400 and I get brand new ones for $3. You first need a set of special 2-piece cartridges where the ink tank is separate from the outer shell. When the ink tank is empty, you replace just that and keep the same outer shell with a chip that auto-resets to full. The ink tanks are $3 and hold 50% more ink than standard cartridges. You can find them at http://ccs-digital.com They also have regular cartridges for $4.50 How much cheaper is refilling that it's worth the hassle and the risk?Refill ink in my Epson Stylus CX500.?

yes, but don't go for it , refilled cartridge may cause you lose your printer.leak may damage the printer.don't do it.
That depends upon the printer and the cartridge. Some newer printers cannot be refilled.

  • Printer cartridge question: We bought an ink refill injection kit. What went wrong?

The refilled cartridges worked for a little while (10 pages or so) just fine, then the ink went dry and also spilled inside the printer. We did not fill the printer with ';after market'; cartridges. We just injected the ink into the correct holes. (We have an HP Photosmart C3100 series printer).

Did HP program the cartridges to ';fail'; when the printer somehow discovered the ink was replaced, instead of the cartridges? They are making a bloody fortune from these cartridges which don't last long at all.Printer cartridge question: We bought an ink refill injection kit. What went wrong?
Most of the refill kits are garbage and if you are using one you have to know what you are doing. Even if you refill the cartridges properly you are still using a lower quality ink than was originally intended. You can buy professionally refilled and tested cartridges with a replacement warranty only for about 50% less than the cost of original HP cartridges from several vendors online. I wouldn't use them while your printer is still under warranty in case of any failures. I usually only buy the black cartridges refilled because you are less likely to fail, and tend to have better print quality.

Welcome to the world of inkjet printing. HP could give printers away, and still make money selling cartridges only.Printer cartridge question: We bought an ink refill injection kit. What went wrong?
what went wrong was buying a refil kit, never put refils into a printer, always buy the genuine hp cartridges, I know there expensive but its worthy it, you get more prints, better qaulity and lrdd problems like spillages. I work for a computer/printer repair company and we see heaps of people come in with printer problems from using refills, some totally destroy the printer all together to the extent that they have to purchase a new printer all together and hp will not cover any parts or repairs if you are using non genuine hp catridges. Hp did not intended for the refil cartridges to fail or make them fail, its just hp dont build there printers to accept cheap non generic cartridges, they build them to take there cartridges. I suggest take it to a repair company or a printer company and get it cleaned and tested, and buy yourself a new cartridge

Should i refill my ink cartridge or buy a new one.?

Refilling them can be messy try Ebay I have had 2 sets for my printer both worked and used up for $35 on 3rd setShould i refill my ink cartridge or buy a new one.?
It really depends on the ink cartridges... Some are easily refilled, with others it is hit-and-miss how well they refill.

I have used inks from http://www.inksupply.com on both Cannon and Epson printers with great success. Personally, if they don't sell ';generic replacement cartridges'; (Designed to be refilled) for your printer, I've found it to be very messy and has a high incidence of ';air bubbles'; during refills.

Unless you are using a lot of ink (several sets of cartridges per year, I'd suggest buying them already filled.Should i refill my ink cartridge or buy a new one.?
Refilling is a risky proposition. Yes it can work for a while, but there is the risk of damage to your printer which is not covered under warranty. Read http://ccs-digital.com/refills.html for more info. If you want to save money, get new compatible cartridges. For Epson try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp For other brands try ebay but make sure they are new cartridges, not refilled or remanufactured, that they include the chip (some dealers expect you to take the chip off your old cartridges. This often doesnt work) and that there is a money back guarantee if they dont work.

If you want accurate colors, buy new one. If you want to save money, then refill it. Or buy a CIS (continuous Ink System), this can save a lot of money in the long run
Buy a new one it may cost more but you get better prints
A new one, refilling will damage nozzles of the printer.

For my personal consumption, can you give me an instructions of how to refill my hp21&hp22 ink cartridges?

You have to either pop out the little plastic plug if there is one, or drill a hole in the top of the cartridge.

Flush out the cartridge with the cleaner fluid that comes with your refill kit using the syringe.

Then you have to get the refill ink in the cartridge.

If it is black, put it in the syringe and squirt it in.

For the color you have to drill three holes and be exactly correct where you place them to make sure you flush all three compartments out, and that you put the correct color in the correct compartment and that you flush out the syringe before changing colors.

Then you have to put some putty in the hole to prevent evaporation.

Now with that all said, Consumers Reports did a study on refillable cartridge kits about four or five years ago and reported that your savings for a year is roughly .50 if you do not spill any.

For me fifty cents saved a year is not worth all the trouble.

I always buy the brand name cartridge for the printer I bought because I bought it to do certain things and no off-brand can do that no matter what they claim, or all the major manufacturers would be suing the pants off of the knock-offs.For my personal consumption, can you give me an instructions of how to refill my hp21%26amp;hp22 ink cartridges?
refilling cartridges is a risky business and not worth it. you can read http://ccs-digital.com/refills.html

The Right Cartridge Empty message does not go away even after a complete ink refill. What should I do to get this message away?I have a Xerox workcentre 470cx all in one printer. After ink refill how to remove the R Cart Empty message?
Make sure you pressed the right one into place. It'll click into place. Once you close the compartment cover and control panel, the LCD should say: cartridge changed? Since it was the black one, make sure you input yes. Try pulling the color cartridge as well enough to disconnect the print head from the printer, then snap it back into place. Do that with both cartridges, unless you are working w/o the color cartridge. The LCD should ask about the cartridge change. If it still doesn't, we'll get to that in a minute. Did it print out an alignment paper? Once a cartridge is replaced, it will automatically print a test page (alignment pattern). If it still isn't printing, clean the head (copper plate on cartridge) with q-tip and alcohol. Don't ever touch that copper head with your fingers (or anything other than q-tip, and that's only when necessary). As long as it prints and the LCD display still hasn't gone off, use it anyway. Unless you want to take it in to a XEROX repair shop to fix a discontinued printer, leave it alone, and use the printer/fax as much as possible until the wheels fall off. I hope this helped. This is information for the Workcentre 470cx, from the manual and not my opinion or imagination. I'm not MR. Technician, but I have enough common sense to know how to locate solutions to issues. Good luck. I suggest an upgrade sometime soon, anyway. Ray

CANON MP610 Ink Cartridge Refill Kit (How to reset)?

I know, we press reset button , however U150 error message is shown. (Pronter can not recognise the cartrige).CANON MP610 Ink Cartridge Refill Kit (How to reset)?
You either get a chip re-setter or you can hold down the reset button - its the small one with the red triangle and circle on it and two diagonal strokes above it. Press it down hard for a few second and it should reset it. It will not reset the ink levels but will print. You will have to check the tanks regular to avoid the ink becoming empty.Resetting via the button basically disables the ink warning.CANON MP610 Ink Cartridge Refill Kit (How to reset)?
You'll need to obtain a chip resetter specific to your printer model, sir.

Modern ink cartridges contain a chip which notifies the printer when it's empty. Without resetting the chip, your printer will continue to believe that the cartridge you've just filled is still empty.

Hi. When you install the refilled cartridge, the Maintainence program should ask if it is new. Answer 'Yes';. Could not find info on a chip or a resetting program.
    Quite simply, you cannot.

Keep printing, trust your eye, when you start to see fading it is time to replace the cartridge, or have it refilled again. Ink levels are just an estimate and rarely accurate.

If you can deal with the annoyance of not having a vague idea of how much ink is the cartridge in lieu of price, that is the only way to go.

  • Is it possible to refill ink from print cartridge head?

I knew that the only way we can refill is by using syringe from the holes provide at the top of the cartridge. But someone told me it is a bad way to refill ink ,Can anyone throw some light on this topic.....THANK YOU!!!Is it possible to refill ink from print cartridge head?
The inks that came with the print head are a proprietary formulation. Because the formulas are patented, refill inks can never be a match. Substitute inks can degrade performance and may create unstable images (quick to fade).

If you print a lot and the ink cost is a concern, you would be better off to replace your present printer with one of those new Kodak ESP series printers. The replacement inks cost roughly HALF of what everybody else's sells for. They also can deliver photo lab quality prints as well.Is it possible to refill ink from print cartridge head?
It sounds like you are referring to remanufacturing the cartridge versus simply refilling it. During the remanufacturing process the cartridge is dismantled, fully cleaned, worn parts are replaced, and then the cartridge is filled with ink. Typically this requires a very expensive machine, the kind you'd find at a Cartridge World store. Most consumers can't do this themselves. If I were you I'd consider buying remanufactured cartridges online -- there are hundreds of retailers.

if so where do i buy one please? How do u refill a canon printer with refill ink? still says it's empty..do i need a restetter?
first, a lot of cartridges have chips in them which get set when the printer is empty. in order to refill the cartridge, you also have to reset the chip. Second, newer cartridges have chips which self-destruct when empty and can not be reset. Third, cartridges are not designed to be refilled. while you may get away with it often, there is a risk. Read this http://ccs-digital.com/refills.html for details. How do u refill a canon printer with refill ink? still says it's empty..do i need a restetter?
Depends on the model of printer.

Try holding on the paper feed button for 5 seconds to disable ink-level detection. That worked on my Canon printer.
There are no chip resetters for the Canon.

Unlike Epson, canon's chip is very heavily encrypted and cannot be overridden.

How do u know when u need to refill your ink?

My printer tells me, and if it did'nt u cud tell cause when printing it's all screwed up not solid printing. How do u know when u need to refill your ink?
Most printers come with a utility that will tell you the approximate ink levels in the cartridges. If it isn't already set up to do that automatically, you'll have to go to the manual that came with the printer (whether printed or in a computer file), or go to the company's website for instructions.

You could try this (for an HP printer, but it might work for yours): Go to Start, Control Panel, Printers %26amp; Faxes (right-click for its menu). In the drop-down menu, click Properties, select the General tab, then the Printing Preferences button. If it's there, click on the Service this Device button, then select the Estimated Ink Levels tab. I hope that works for you.How do u know when u need to refill your ink?
The printer should give you a warning message. plus you can tell by looking at fade-outs on your printed pages.
    Are you serious?

When the pages your printing dont look like they should look, its time for new ink.

Most new printers will tell you when you need new ink though. They'll give you a warning saying that the ink cartridges are low.
    a notice will come up ';your printer is low on ink';

or else when you print the words or picture will come up with lots of white lines through it.
when u print the computer will tell u the ink level in u'r computer
A warning message should pop up with an exclamation point above the one with the least ink
