Can i refill lexmark ink cartidge 28 runs out of ink ,before the error message will it allow me ?

Possibly but your best bet would be to try to refill those cartridges before the ink gets low as to avoid having to reset the reset chip in the cartridge that away you can just fill it to the rim without the printer even knowing that it was low.
