I refilled it with toner and reloaded it to the printer but it still won't recognize that it has more ink. I found a chip that may be an inhibitor but I can't seem to reset it.How to refill ink cartridges to Dell 5100 printer?
You usually just continue to print even though it says it's low on ink. There is a hole process of tricking the dell into thinking it has a new cartridge but it doesn't always wok. I tied to follow it and it didn't work for me so I just kept printing until I could tell it was getting low. Then ended up chucking the dell and got an HP.
If you want a new cartridge for your dell and don't want to buy a Dell you usually can get an equivalent Lexmark cartridge.
Instructions were in the refill kit. Maybe this site will help.
