How to change chip in lexmark & cannon ink cartridges so i can refill & use??

I would like to refill my ink cartridges for my cannon and lexmark ink cartridges. How do you change the chip in the cartridge so the printer will read them as new cartridge. How to change chip in lexmark %26amp; cannon ink cartridges so i can refill %26amp; use??
What you need is a chip resetter, which you can buy in a supermarket stationery aisle or go to a stationery store. They are very easy to use and not too expensive.

Not all inks seem to work well in all cartridges. Pelican seems reliable for most, but it is a matter of trial and error till you get one that suits your printer. I have tried refilling my own and do so if desperate, but I prefer to pay a little extra and go to places like Cartridge World and have them fill it. Then if it doesn't work, they replace it under guarantee and it costs less than half the price of the original. How to change chip in lexmark %26amp; cannon ink cartridges so i can refill %26amp; use??
refilling cartridges is a risky practice which voids any warranty. read http://ccs-digital.com/refills.html

You are better off buying brand new (not refilled) compatible cartridges. they're only pennies more than refills and avoid the mess and the risk.
