I know that pricewise, ink refilling stations offer a much practical price, but what are the disadvantages of using generic ink refills?Would you use generic ink to refill your printer cartridge?
Or, you can probably find new compatible cartridges that will work just as well as OEM, certainly better than refills and without the hassle or mess.
If you can't find compatible cartridges, there may be factory remanufactured cartridges that will still save you a lot of money.
Shop at a reputable retailer who will stand behind their products and who offers a great warrantee.Would you use generic ink to refill your printer cartridge?
i use generic cartridges for my printer. so far ok level of output. never tried manually injecting the ink tho...
i hear that HP is the most difficult to use non-HP inks on.
The only disadvantage of using generic ink refills on your side is printing quality will be affected slightly. It's because it's an alternative ink, this means the actual printing color will be slightly different compared when you used original ones.
I use a generic cartridge which I refill myself. IF you find a good generic ink that behave similar to the original ink you should not have any problems what soever. Keep in mind though when refilling the quality of your print is only going to be as good as the skill of the re-filler.
1) It may affect your printer in later stages...(If the refilled ink is not genuine)
2) Some time catridge may leak...
I found them to be messy and leaky when I handled them. Also, the print was kinda smudgy for many pages that I printed. It stopped, but still, I think it should print well from the beginning.
I'll pay the extra money for the brand new cartridges. I'll never do re-fills again. Just not worth the hassle.
Yes, I would use ink to refill my printer cartridge, but lookout for the quality of ink. Superior ink are those that are made in Germany.
For the advantages:
1. You save money in the long run
- A 100ml bottle of ink costs $10 at Inkstation, and you can
refill the cartridge up to 10 times. So each color costs
only $1 each time you refill.
2. You save the environment
- You help to save the environment by dumping less IC
chips that are non-biodegradable.
I can't think of any disadvantages that prevents you from refilling your own cartridge.
